In addition, Koen is active in various Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards and participates in a number of scale-ups.

Jac Cuypers

Partner

Jac has been active as a crisis manager in larger and small companies for 20 years. With assignments such as CEO and CFO ad interim, he uses his expertise and experience for management advice on strategy, technology, operations and financial management. He combines this with his activities on various advisory boards and a Board of Directors.

Stefan is the founder / owner of a number of companies. In addition to his activities at KOBUS, he is still operationally active in a number of organizations in his portfolio. He is also a member of the “Shopping Tomorrow” expert group.

Benoît Van Huffel

As a partner of KOBUS, Benoît puts his extensive experience in start-ups and scale-ups on the table. He is the driving force and founder / owner of an international online pharmacy (VIATA). Benoît is also chairman of FEBOP, the Federation of Belgian Online Pharmacies.

25/9/2020 – Economics pseudoscience

The Planning Bureau at the beginning of September: the Belgian economy will shrink by 7.4% in 2020 and partially recover in 2021 with a growth of 6.5%. In June the estimate was -10.4%. A difference of 3 percent points in barely 3 months. Better a bad estimate than no estimate. But in this way, the image of the economist as a pseudoscientist is only confirmed! What is missing in the model? The narrative, the underlying story that drives the consumer. Let’s do something about it, read the Nobel laureate Robert Shillers book: “Narrative economics”. There is work to be done to upgrade the economy.
